Chronic migranes? Has anybody had migranes like this? Help what can i do to prev!

Question: Well i keep getting migranes.. but they arent just headaches,
my eyesight goes really weird nd i get bloches of light across my vision, its painfull to look at light and i just want compleat darkness. i feel really dizzy like im going to pass out, and i cant talk properly, then i get numb patches like on my face and my hands and feet will go really numb with painfull pins and needles and it feels like i have blood flow restriction around my wrists. the numbness will normally go within 20 mins nd then im normally sick.. alot and then i just have the worst headache for hours which is normally around the eyes or temples, and is a constant pain but sometimes a shooting pain espesially if i stand up suddenly.

i've seen spesialists and even had a brain scan and nobody can find an underlying problem.
ive tryed taking daily perscribed medication for them, ive kept a diary of they migranes including what ive eaten and no particualr food seems to trigger them.. Help! thanks

Welcome to the world of migraines!! Pure He!! It is normal for you to feel those sensations..senstivity to light, sound, smell...numbness etc.. before the actual headache pain hits. It's like a warning your body is telling you..its about to come in 20-30 minutes get ready. Migraines are more common in women especially in their teens up to I think 30s. I used to get them atleast once or twice a month. I would get mine due to being on birth control pills. I stopped taking them and never got them anymore. But then I'm on Yaz bc pill now and under a ton of stress and had a migraine about 2 weeks ago that was torture. Lots of things can cause it..your diet, if your eating enough, stress, hormones, and to cure them...Not much. When you get those 1st. symptoms if the time to react you need to take some sort of pain medication....go into a dark room...maybe turn on a fan....and put a wet cool wash cloth on your forehead. Then just relax and after about 20-30 minutes you can get up and probably not have any of the warning symptoms but you still will get the intense headache. Not as bad though if you don't do anything. The headache is something you have to ride out and endure. Which Stinks! Just try to lie down and sleep a lot..dont be on the computer and watch minimal tv..if you do watch tv get further from the tv set as you normally would. And you may vomit and that is normal too. Also Chiropractors can help with migraines. I took my husband to see a Chiropractor the other day and I had a headache..and he asked if it was a migraine and I said no but I do get them. And he said well I can help those. So maybe you might want to call a few Chiropractors around and ask them what they can do for migraines. And this Chiropractor I was talking to said something about oils and herbs...Um it was in a bottle like I think it was Chamomile.. and the scent of it is supposed to help with headaches. He gave me a dab on my neck and temples..It helped a little. So while your at the Chiropractors office ask them about any kind of herb oil like Chamomile that can help with headaches. Good Luck!

I hear your pain. I am in the same boat. Check out this forum. Other on here may be able to help you and suggest ways to cope.

Good luck!

I get them too, but mine are hormonally triggered around my menstrual cycle The birth control pill seems to help with that believe it or not. I see you've tried taking daily medicine. There are new medicines on the market that you take everyday to prevent the headaches from coming on, you should talk to your doctor about them.

I've suffered from chronic migraines for yrs, my Dr has prescribed Topamax, which seems to work just fine for me, only thing is...I'm losing a great deal of weight....which is not what I want to happen....I still get them however, not as much...
Try getting another opinion, don't stop at one keep getting them until they find out what's the deal.....
My sister in law had chronic migraines as well, come to find out she was diagnosed with a very serious condition....

I get that aswell!

It can be caused by change in weather, the temp and so on. or staying in one place for so long. looking at tv/computer screen constantly!

Tablets normally work wonders. Or lay with your head hanging off the end of your bed/sofa to get blood up to your head, migranes can be caused by a lack of blood flow to the head!

Hope something works!
