Question: My two year old got ahold of a bottle of tums somehow and ate quite a few of them. you can overdose on them can you??

Kids.....go figure...lol! All I know is that mine did the same...he had them hid in his room and was eating them like smartys!!By the time I got wind of it he had eaten half a big bottle....called er....they laughed at me and said he will be constipated probaly,but fine!!
Yes, but it usually involves an overdose over a long period of time. That would create some kidney stones.
For the kid, however, they just got a lot of calcium. If you're concerned, then have them drink some acidic liquids like orange juice or the like to neutralize it.
if he ate a bottle a day for a few years he might get a bone spur or gull stones other then that he should be fine.
