Did i overeat or do i have a stomach bug? also question about bowel movements?!
Question: my dad had some kind of stomach thing two days ago diarreah and i think he vomitted a couple times, i had the stomach bug in mid january. can i catch the same bug twice? i also did eat alot today just out of boredom and never felt full and now i have a stomach ache. i also don't have bowel movements very often anymore..only like every 3 or 4 days. i'm not constipated i just had one and it wans't difficult at all. how can i make my bowel movements more frequent?
anyway, do you think i just overate today or maybe have a bug?
i just took some tums because my stomach is hurting like i'm gonna have to go to the bathroom a couple times and then ill be fine, that kind of hurt.

Yes you can have the bug again. That's probably what's happening. Take a stool softener with a mild laxative for a few days or drink Metamucil to become regular. You can also add more fiber to your diet.

There are so many different strains of the flu and whatnot...You could have caught what your dad had, but it may not be the exact thing you had before....As far as needing something to help you go to the bathroom more, try increasing your intake of fiber...It is good for you and it regulates your bowels. For the record, Tums is more for heartburn than a stomach ache and/or diarrhea.
Yes, you will catch the same bug again. You need to go to doctor and obtain a script for antibiotic to push this bug out of your system. The stomach flu is something you should not ignore. This is one thing you need to see your doctor about pronto.
