OUCH! What is wrong with my piercings????!
Question: I got my nipple pierced about 6 months ago. All has been well until about the last week. They have been sore as hell! I have no idea what is up with them. I increased my warm salt soaks and that didn't seem to help much. I changed the rings from a round captive ring back to the post, as when I changed them that seemed to be when the problem arised. I had changed them to new straight barbells and had not one issue other than a bit of soreness getting them in (that took a bit to figure out, as dumb as that may sound). So now I checked the steal and they are the surgical grade needed, the salt soaks and antibacterial are on just as before and always have been, but suddenly it feels like someone is just pushing a bruse when they brush up against my clothing or the post get moved when cleaning! They aren't pusing nor are they hot or red...so I have no idea what is wrong. Any help? THANKS!!!

when u had a hard time putting it back in u probably ripped it a little on the inside. If it doesn't feel good soon I would call or go back to where u got it done and speak with them about it.

Even though they aren't pusing or red they still may be infected, I have a bunch of piercings and that sometimes happens where they just get aggravated even though they're clean and I haven't changed anything. I would recommend just keep cleaning them and change to the ring that has the least reaction...it may take a little bit, but they should settle... and if it doesn't, you might want to go to where you got them pierced and ask them if they have any further advice...sorry, it must kill.
I've not had this experience with piercings but my recommendation would be to either go to your doctor for possible infection or to a reputable piercer if no one here can give you good options. It could be that you picked up an infection when you changed out the jewelry. Or it could be that the changing just made the area more tender. My nose does that sometimes when I change the jewelry.
