When you pee, do you "shift gears"? Weird question, I know, sorry. I&#!

Question: This may be for guys only, I'm not sure. Anyway, I've always done this. When I'm peeing, it's almost like I'm shifting gears in the middle of it. It will start as a trickle, then as I feel more coming, I'll hold some back, just a little bit. Kinda like I'm building up pressure, then letting it go at a higher speed. I usually do that several times as the flow increases, and several times on the way back down also. Hence my "shifting gears" analogy. Am I totally weird, or is this just a natural thing everyone does? It seems to me it would only happen to guys, but let me know.

youre just wierd :p

lol, unfortunatley I'm a girl..so no, I dont do that.
Sounds fun though. Almost makes me wish I had a willy to do it with lol

I am a little confused, so let me explain in a couple different ways.
1) If you "hold it" to make this happen, it is NOT normal. You have no reasin to "hold back" your urine.
2) If this happens naturally, then you still have a problem. Your urine should be in 1 continuous, steady stream. If it does not tha is a sign of some type of urinary, or kidney problem, and you need to see a doctor.
But it does sound like you are trying to make this happen, if so that can be dangerous to your urinary system, and/or kidneys.
Don't hold it, unless you are somewhere that you can not go at that time.
