What is the name of this part of the FOOT?!

Question: The part in front where the foot meets the leg. Sort of the "elbow" of the foot and leg. Its not the ankle, those are on the side.

The ankle is the junction between the foot and leg. It is not just the side bits (the medial and lateral malleoli), it is all around. If i had to describe the specific area you are referring to i would say area of the extensor retinaculae of the leg.

The 14 ankle bones are the talus, calcaneus (heel bone), navicular, cuboid, internal cuneiform, middle cuneiform, and external cuneiform on each side.
The 38 foot bones are the 10 metatarsals and 28 phalanges (toe bones)

Actually the ankle is the joint where the foot meets the leg and is not part of the foot or leg at all. The foot bone that makes most contact with the leg is the Talus, where the tibia and fibula leg bones meet to create the ankle joint. The Talus sits on the Calcaneus, which could also be included. Check out the image at the link below.

I believe this would be the tarsometatarsal joint. The tarsus is the ankle with its seven bones located between bones of the lower leg and the metatarsals. Metatarsals are the five long bones of the foot forming the anterior portion of the foot. (The top of the foot)
