It sounds like Rosiola to me. My daughter had it once. Here is some info about it that I got off webmd.com

A rosy-pink rash may appear over your child's entire body, starting on the torso and spreading to the face, neck, and arms. The rash is not itchy and may last 1 to 2 days.

On rare occasions, a sore throat, stomach ache, vomiting, and diarrhea occur.

A child with roseola may appear fussy or irritable and may have a decreased appetite, but most children behave almost normally.

The roseola fever can be managed with acetaminophen (such as Tylenol or Panadol), ibuprofen (such as Advil or Motrin), or sponge baths. Do not give aspirin to anyone younger than 20 years of age because of the risk of Reye's syndrome.

The roseola rash will go away without medical treatment

This may not be it but you could specificly ask your doctor about it. Go to webmd.com and type in Rosiola and read for yourself. Not all cases are exactly the same.
Good Luck, I hope this helps you and your baby.

Sounds to me like you went to the wrong doctor. Go to the ER. Also, put these and any other symptoms into webmd. Im not you so i dont know all of the symptoms. Also, I recommend getting an allergy test.
