Question: Sorry about the title. I had to do it.
Anyways, I was wondering how many times a day you guys defacate. How long does it take you? Reading material? Books or newspaper? Is it smelly? Do you turn on the fan?

I've had a lifetime of digestive problems and have spent months on GI hospital wards so I certainly have the "scoop on the poop." Most people go once or twice a day, but for some, it is normal to go every other day, or three times a week. People's bodies and digestive tracts work according to their own schedules. I take a crossword puzzle with me, but usually it doesn't take me long enough than to get through a few clues. Odor, texture and color are predicated on what you eat. I only turn on the fan if I have company.

Well...I don't know...I usually poop about 18 times a day and I could go through an entire novel while I sit there squeezing so hard that I could almost give myself hemmies. Heck, yes it smells!! Doesn't yours? Or are you one of those people whose "sh*t don't stink"? You must be very bored. (BTW, this was meant to be on the funny side, not mean in any way.)

Um... well, I've taken Anatomy I & II and Anatomy and Physiology...
Most people go once a day. It shouldn't taken too long...
sitting too long on the pot can give you hemorrhoids...
Straining=not hydrated enough and not enough fiber in your diet...
Of course it's smelly... it's poo! LOL

P.S. the common brown color of poo is actually the un-recycled part of dead blood cells! Without that part it is a light green(baby poo) color(I think I remember that right, the classes were from years ago...)And the smell comes from the bacteria breaking down the material.
it takes my husband forever it seems and oh will it gag the HELLO out of you when you go in the bathroom for about 30 min after he gets out
