My brother's pulse is visable from eleven paces away, why?!
Question: Standing eleven paces away, I can clearly see my brother's pulse, it bulges from his neck at what seems a pretty fast rate (I didn't count, but it was faster than mine) He's sleeping - and is lying on his side if that somehow changes anything - so, does sleeping effect your pulse or something?

Its the way his vessel is close to the surface of the skin. It is normal. Your pules slows down when you are sleeping, speeds up when you exercise.

How thin is he? How old is he? What is the rate of his pulse? How many beats per minute? Is there a history of hypertension Is there a history of drug use or heart problems in the family? Does he take any meds? Is he allergic to anything? Does he have chest pain? What makes it better or worse?

it doesn't hurt to call and ask a professional. if u know a secondary police line, call and ask. if u have to, 911. when it some one's immediate well-being, don't joke around or look on the computer for answers.
if his pulse rate is rapid, he could be having heart problems, or just an exciting dream. try waking him up, if he doesn't, call 911 immediately.
