Can ANYONE here interpret bloodwork results?!

Question: ***I am 28 weeks pregnant***

I've been @ my OB twice a week for the past couple of weeks getting bloodwork & the 24 hr urine collection due to high BP & protein in my urine... My bloodwork has come back, mostly great, but some of the levels are off, and I just needed to know what these mean:

Glucose, Serum: 107 (Normal = 65-99)
WBC: 13.5 (Normal = 4-10)
Neutrophils: 80 (Normal = 40-70)
Neutrophils, Absolute: 11 (Normal = 1.8-7.8)

The only thing the doctor has told me was that my bloodwork came back anemic, so they gave me an iron supplement. I just got these results back online and no one has called me about
them, so I figured I'd try to figure it out myself :)

Everything else was normal. The things I listed were the only abnormal levels, I just don't know what they are or what it means.

Thank you for your help :)

The upper limit for the blood glucose in your result is not correct. the upper limit should be 126 thus your result of 107 is still normal. the white blood count of 13.5 is high (probable infection) but this level maybe normal for pregnant women, as long as there are no signs of infection such as fever, discharges, pain/inflammation.

Neutrophils are white blood cells, so are lymphocyte and monocytes. A high neutrophil count would mean that the infection is bacterial while lymphocyte increase is viral and monocyte:parasitic. But again a minimal increase in WBC which in your case is neutrophils maybe normal in pregnant women.

High protein in the urine and hypertension in pregnancy is called Pre-eclampsia. Monitor your blood pressure and follow your OBs appointments. Minimize also your salt intake. Report any dizziness, loss of consciousness, headache to your Ob immediately.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!
