Answers: I am a very nervous person is there anything I can take to relax me, I can't even drive due to my nerves being bad.

That's a real shame. Nerves are a *****, and they only worsen thanks to the anxiety created in the situation. Try some natural remedies, such as a soothing hot drink - something low in sugar and caffeine. Also, try to identify your problem, the possibility of it being aggrevated from within you. Are you afraid of people and your surroundings, even if you don't feel you are. For example, do you suddenly feel much more relaxed at home, yet when you're out and about you become like a blur - unfocused, nervous, as if you're not all there? You should look into the underlying cause. It could be physical or psychological.

Just remember one thing, don't go crazy with the intake of vitamins etc, in a hasty attempt to fix this outright. You must beware of taking too much of certain minerals and vitamins, because they really can become BAD! Take it easy, take things slow, give them time to correct. Try a magnesium suppliment, for magnesium relaxes the nerves and muscles, and is a vital, yet short in supply mineral we need!

Try Bach Rescue Remedy - reported to have good results.

Vegans can suffer this sort of progressive nervousness, a side effect of forms of neuromyalgia; brought on by Vitamin B12 defficiency.

An occasional glass of milk will cure the problem, in these cases.

Go and see your Doctor. Vitamins will generally only help the bottom line of the companies producing them!

Try putting a few drops of pure essential lavender oil in a warm bath and soak in that for 15 - 20 minutes ~ inhale the beautifull calming aromas. It reduces stress and calms the nervous system, lifts depression and eases headaches and insomnia too ?

caution ~ avoid using for the first 4 months ofpregnancy, longer if there is a history of miscarriage and don't use on infants or young children ........... if that is the case simply substitue for chamomile tea ... Chamomile tea is a classic and popular bedtime anti - insomnia drink and will soothe the over excitable, relieve mental strain and stress, depression and soothe your jangled nerves ............... only organic though, as the commercial varieties have had nearly all the essential oils pulverised from them and could never possibly be used for therapeutic purposes.

Eat more foods rich in magnesium ~ magnesium is known as the antistress mineral and will help you deal with stressy situations and just the daily grind of life better.

foods rich in magnesium are ~ leafy and green vegies, nuts and seeds, wholegrain cereals and breads and cold water fishes such as tuna, sardines, salmon and whiting........... the EFA's (essential fatty acids) in the cold water fishes do a brilliant job for me for equalising my moods and stress and anxiety levels, i try to eat some description of fish each day..... but each person is different and you need to find your own level.

Magnesium is needed in the body for healthy nerve and muscle functioning and of course for heart health. Foods rich in magnesium will also aide in eliminating constipation by increasing the production of hydrochloric acid in the tummy and thus assisting in digestion............ magnesium will also cure an acid tummy.

hope this helps a bit ?
