Whats an alterneat solutions to cutting yourself.?!

well....my friend had cut herself before, and she was also anerexic...(sorry if i spelled that wrong) and she tryed to starve herslef, it hurt me a lot to see her like that and ...welll......it hurts other people, ok, it hurts others and yourself Report It

There is nothing funny about cutting...I was a cutter and it took me a lot of will power and emotional pain to finally stop...it is not funny when you could accidentally kill yourself...do not joke about it. Report It

    Stop being so emo!!!!

    use a binder to snap ur wrist when every you feel like cutting ur self

    Punch pillows, flick yourself with an elastic band around your wrist. If you can't control your urge to do this, you need to take your anger/sadness/emptiness/numbness/etc out on things that don't hurt you or anyone else.

    when i used to cut, ages back, but was in school,
    i used to keep a hair tie with a metal part on it on my wrist (like the metal part holding the piece of elastic together.
    and when i felt like cutting i would snap the metal to my skin.
    it doesnt look obvious and you can wear it everywhere, coz its just a hair tie so its no big deal.

    When i cud'nt cut i used an elastic band round my wrist, or i used to hit my arm with a hair brush, so it wudnt mark.

    Self-Mutilation is just a manifestation of a need to displace a feeling. If you fill that void with something constructive like walking or writing a journal it can help.

    my niece used to do this and she just stopped on her own,she would get the buckle of her sandels and start scratching herself with the buckle.she just stopped on her own.just remind yourself that your hurting yourself and that it hurts to do it then try to stop.you couls stop it just takes a lot of patience. good luck.

    but hurting yourself doesnt help.
    go smoke a joint. itll make you feel loads better
    or benedrill.

    you can substitute any behavior, but it still won't be addressing the underlying problem until you get counseling and possibly medication. you're doing this for a reason. please get some help through school or on your own!
