Have you had any past injuries that deal with your lower back, shoulders and/or knees?
I would highly suggest that you see a doctor, it seems your condition is critical. To me, in a way it sounds like you may have a chronic disorder, depending on how long these symptoms have been with you.

For right now, set-up a doctors appointment with your primary care physician immediately.

I hope you feel better!!

p.s. You can look at these articles while you wait for your doctor appointment to arrive; if you want to.

see a Dr first

but....I just had a strained lower back, I read the medical books and it said..........if your feeling numbness in your legs, arms, toes, feet, knees seeming to start with the back........you might have a spinal cord injury or nerve pinched so see a Dr immediately!!!!!!!!!

what more can I say, you don't seem to have a strain like me but something more serious, now get to the Dr

Sounds like arthritis might be the culprit. Consult a reumatologist ASAP.

try a chiropracter. They're amazing... I used to have lower back problems plus my knee hip and foot/ankle hurt to walk.. But going to a chiropracter fixed it all

you need to go to the doctor. It sounds like it could be serious.
