wow...i've just been talking about my phobia to somebody else...i have a balloon phobia....especially the thin balloons that are blown up to almost bursting point!!
i get hot & sweat alot around balloons & my heart races...i am really terrified of them....& i know that sounds really stupid!!

Lawn mowers. I can envision one running over me everytime I hear one. My neighbour doesn't have any toes on her left foot because she was run over by one. It's very sad because she cant wear thongs.

I've got a friend who really dislikes stickers.
That sounds like a really odd thing to have a phobia about, but what happened was when she was a little toddler her slightly-older brother used to stick dead insects to stickers and then stick them on her face.
So that explains that...
i cant stand the noise of a man scratching his shirt , or someone pulling ribbon between there fingers and it makes that shhhhhh sound . had it all my life and it puts goos pimples al over my body.

i know someone who's afraid of moths. she was attacked by one when she was a little girl. i've heard of someone who's afraid of sewing machines. I'm afraid of time, but i don't do anything to stop wasting it.
I HATE/HATE/HATE holographic surfaces... for some reason, when someone scratches it (the texture) and the sound it makes drives me to the point of lunacy. I have to stop it, it makes me weak, ill and I cant focus. Its the most bizarre thing. It started as a kid... and now I have kids and once in a while they will have a toy with holographic surface and they scratch it and I go off like a banshee.
Same with coins... if I hear or see someone scratching two coins together, I want to pass out.
Cant explain it...
i have such a bad phobia i can hardly bring myself to type it.
I feel sick just thinking about them - my kids are banned from saying the word infront of me.
My hands have gone all sweaty just knowing i am going to type it - rainy days are the worst when you look on the pavement and see them.

i have a really weird phobia of old stuff,,, these include any items from years ago, like
black-white movies, tv shows
old furniature
old music
anything older than 20 years old or so, [except humans, theyr about the only thing old i dont get scared of, lol
one moment where i freaked everyone out was when my motherinlaw said we could have her stereo, i thought ''ok, thats great''
but when they carried it in, it was this huge old brown laminated ugly stereo from the 70s, i felt really sick and i almost fainted, i started yelling that i wanted it out,, but my husband said no,, so i covered it in a table cloth and i felt better,, it stayed covered for months till she took it back home!!
i feel ill when i watch old tv shows, like i panick, i have to walk out the room if my husband is watching old stuff,,,
i dont know why, but i think its cos all these old things reminds me of my childhood too much,, all the bad memories i have! xxxxxx
