Shock from wreck?!

Question: i was in a small car accident last night, and i haven't felt right since. i was rear ended, not hard, but enough to dent the back of my car. I walked away with a headache, but didn't go to the hospital or anything. After i got home i felt wierd. Sorta jittery, and sensitive to basically everything; loud noise, a touch, etc. I eventually fell asleep after feeling like i was gonna be sick. Woke up this morning, went to school, but felt out of it. I'm still jittery, can't really sit still, never comfortable, can't concentrate on anything. Has anyone ever felt like this after a wreck? Any suggestions on how to relax?

Yeah I was in a wreck a few years ago. It was icy roads and I took a turn and my back end broke loose and I did a 180 and hit the side of the hill. I was pretty jittery and nervous for a little while. I think it is very normal to feel the way you are feeling. I started having some anxiety attacks so I hope that isn't happening to you. Suggestions to relax is I would avoid driving your car for like 5-7 days. Unless you need to. Try to hang out with friends more and vent to them about how you are feeling. Meditate or pray. (if you are spiritual) Listen to some music. Just remember your ok and it was a small wreck. A fender bender as some may call it so try to relax and be thankful that you were not hurt and it wasn't more serious than that. I'm glad that you are ok. Take Care.
