Tried all usual remedies for hiccups. Anyone any new ideas that may help?!

Question: Eat a tsp of dry sugar. It causes you to engage your diaphragm
which is where your hiccups originated.

I also use the one above.

Good luck

Drink a glass of water upside down. THIS WILL WORK!

Take a deep breath and hold, tilt your head back and drink a glass of water at the same time.

Don't forget to breathe normally afterwards. lol

Yeah...Firstly realise that hiccups are merely a momentary loss of your muscular control. Concentrate on this fact while you tense your stomach, take a deep steady sharp breath, hold it for five seconds all the time concentrating on the fact that you have control. breath out. repeat.

A spoonful of sugar almost always works for me. My uncle went to the hospital after having hiccups for weeks and they just told him to wait it out....they did go away on their own finally.

Sounds mad but doing a handstand always works for me, i have to use the wall though i'd fall over otherwise..

BOO!!!

What I do is I take a deep breath and gulp down a glass of water really fast with my chin to my chest. It sounds weird, but it works for me, so there's no harm in trying it out.

If you take a big spoon of sugar into you mouth let it melt a bit then swallow it slowly holding your breath the whole time or take a large mouthful of water tilt you head all the way back and swallow slow also holding your breath these usually work i get hiccups a lot or if noting else works get some one to hit you hard unexpectedly (maybe that's just the masochist in me)

if u yell for a long time or if u blow out for a long time to get as much oxygen out of your lungs as possible because hiccups are a spasin in your diaframe so if u use it it will stop the spassim. :)

have a brown paper bag, size should be enough to cover your entire mouth and nose. Breathe deeply into it. Inhale your with your nose and exhale with your mouth for several seconds until your hiccups disappears. Hiccups usually occurs due to the imbalance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in our respiratory system. By-the-way, the above technique is also used if you feel like fainting.
