How long does it take before starvation does real damage?!

Question: How long does it take before problems with your organs start to occur and you get real problems?

Answers: How long does it take before problems with your organs start to occur and you get real problems?

After 48 hours your body begins to stop living on glycogen reserves present in your liver and muscles and starts breaking down fatty tissues in order to provide glucose for your muscles. however these fatty acids cannot cross the blood/brain barrier so for your brain to continue functioning your body has to (at the same time) break down proteins in your muscles and organs (THIS IS NOT GOOD). at 3 days this provides roughly 25% of the total energy requirements of the brain, at 4 days it provides 75% of the total calories that your brain requires.

So organ damage begins to occur at about 36 hours, and gets progressively worse every hour past this.

about less than a week. your body will die after starving for more than 7 days. Please don't do that, food is good for you!

It depends on your body system, because as i am i can stay for one week without food but with water and i wouldn't feel anything and there would be no change in my body system although some wouldn't start that time but the problem arising would depend on your body system, someone that has a digestive system that is fast shouldn't starve. But the person that has slow digesting system could starve. <Optional>

If there is food to eat don't starve but when there is no food then that one is a different case all together
