What's your first instinct?!

Question: I had a terrible sore throat last week. I took 5 days worth of erythrimycin and the soreness went away. I just finished the antibiotic last night. Yesterday, I woke up with a very swollen tonsil and lymph node. It doesn't hurt at all, and I have looked for with my eyes and finger, tonsil stones. They are smooth and clean of any stones. It's only on the right side. It's very annoying, more than anything so I made an appointment with my ENT specialist for next week. What does this sound like? People keep telling me it's my sinuses, but does that make sense if there is no pain? I use Nasonex daily and I don't have post nasal drip. What do you think?

first instinct. don't use nasonex so often, your body really needs those mucus linings in order to prevent more widespread damage.

the swollen tonsils could be the result of post-infection inflammation, hence why there is no pain, your body is still fighting the illness that is no longer there, it should go down in 48-72 hours.

My first instinct is you have an infection somewhere near the swollen lymph gland, likely that tonsil. Whether it hurts or not is irrelevant. The swollen lymph gland indicates infection.

Stop the Nasonex as it will only have adverse effects on your tonsil and make sure you keep your appointment.

I THINK YOU HAVE AN INFECTION... BUT AT LEAST YOUR NOT IN PAIN... BUT GET TOO THE SPECIALIST GOOD LUCK I REALLY HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER .....
