Don't always listen to your doctor. They're human too so they can be wrong. If you ever feel that something they tell you to do is a bit iffy, get a second opinion from another doctor, or a pharmacist even. Life's full of exceptions!
I wouldn't say disaster - but I was having headaches and my doctor gave me these pills that were basically caffeine tabs. I was hesitant to take them, but I did. Then when I took them I would get the worst headaches afterwards. Turns out my problem is that I am sensitive to caffeine and these made my headaches so much worse.

like i herd of some one who had depression and her doctor gave her anti depresants but they hadnt been properly tested and she killed her self.

I assume you mean 'have you not followed the doctor's orders and something bad happened?'
Nope. When I don't follow the doctor's order is when there are actually several reasonable courses of action to take including taking no action.
I have several relatives (two who died) who wouldn't follow recommended regimens for their diabetes. After Christmas, my Dad refused to use the inhaler his doctor ordered and he ended up hospitalized for 8 days. On the plus side, the doctor hadn't guessed how bad his lung issue really was, so maybe it was for the best anyway.
