Bit my tongue....is this related?!

Question: I bit my tongue pretty badly a couple of days ago. I ended up with a very bad canker sore on my tongue where I bit it. the thing is my neck from the left side (same side I bit my tongue, a bit under the jaw) also hurts.....I cant swallow...is the throat/neck thing related to my tongue incident? or is it not related?

That's exactly what it's from. Rinse your mouth and gargle a few times a day with warm salt water. Sores in your mouth can last from 7-10 days. I used to get them all the time, but it seems that since I switched to a baking soda toothpaste, I no longer get them, and if I do bite my tongue, it goes away in 2-3 days. See your ear/nose/throat doctor for a diagnosis on the neck/throat pain.

it could be

Usually after you bite your tongue your tongue will form a protective barrier to allow the healing process to begin. As far as your neck hurting you may have seasonal allergies which can cause pain in the throat and also in your sinuses and cause you to have headaches. If you are very worried about your mouth I would contact a doctor but you should try some over the counter allery pills first then go.

could be that happened to me a lot just eat lots of cold non salty foods and you'll be good to go
