Do antibiotics (pills) have a real expiry date?!

Question: I know that I should return them to the pharmacist etc.., but do antibiotics really have an "expiry": date? I.e. do they become ineffective over a period of time? It seems as if the chemical is in a solid state, it can stay there forever unless you add significant amount of moisture to it.

All drugs go ineffective over time. Tetracycline goes toxic over time.
Once the medications are dispensed, they cannot be returned to the pharmacy.

Yes they go bad! Do NOT take them if the expiration date has passes!

Antiobiotics do expire!! The chemicals breakdown and they are no longer effective after 1-2 years.
