Fasting Blood Glucose Test?!

Question: I have been asked by my doctor to have the fasting blood glucose test because he is worried that I may have diabetes. The clinic can't get me in for an appointment until the 21st which is well over a week away and to be honest i really dont want to wait that long. if i got my friend to do it who is a qualified nurse on sunday, will the specimen last until monday if i keep it in the fridge overnight?

No. You should wait for your appt. on the 21st. It'll be here before you know it! It's a GOOD sign that the doctor doen't mind waiting a week.

Bless you and Good luck! :)

No, the doctor will not accept a blood sample you bring in yourself saying that your "qualified nurse friend" did it.

Just watch what you eat for the next week, and be sure not to eat anything on the 21st before your blood work is done.
