It is possible that you are suffering from a Vitamin B6 deficiency ~ this will produce terrible dry mouth which cannot be resolved no matter how much water you drink, night time muscle spasms, leg cramps, excessive urination, nausea and vomiting, numbness and tingling and prickling sensations in the outer extremities ................. vitamin B6 is needed for the effective assimilation of Vitamin B12 so if you are deficient in B6 (pyridoxine) then you will also be displaying symptoms of vitamin B12 (cycoanobalamin) deficiency ie: headaches and migraines, irritability and moodiness, inability to think clearly, excessive sweating, chest pains and heart palpitations, depression, constipation and insomnia........... vitamin B12 is needed for effective iron assimilation, so if you are deficient in B12 then you would also be displaying symptoms of iron deficiency anaemia ie: fatigue and exhaustion, dizzy spells and fainting and loss of balance and paleness of skin. A quick way to check if you are iron deficient is to pull down the bottom lid of your eyelids and check the color. If it is red or dark pink then you are healthy but if it is pale and pasty white looking then you are more than likely iron deficient.

Eat more foods rich in Vitamin B12 ie: organ meats such as lambs fry and kidneys, skimmed milks and cheeses, fish and eggs.

Eat more foods rich in vitamin B6 ie; wheat bran, wheat germ, liver, fish, cantaloupe, cabbage, blackstrap molasses, unmilled rice, oats and eggs.

Eat more foods rich in iron ie: Pork, beef, liver, red meat, clams, dried peaches, farina, egg yolks, oysters, nuts, beans, asparagus, molasses and oatmeal.

Iron assimilates more effectively when consumed with foods rich in vitamin C ie; citrus fruits such as lemons, limes and oranges, tomatoes and potatoes, leafy green vegies and red and green peppers.

If you are lactose intolerant or vegetarian then it is really important that you supplement your diet with a multi B complex tablet on a daily basis.

Things that could be robbing you of your precious B complex of vitamins are :- eating too much protein, alcohol, eating too much tinned food, antiobiotics, antidepressants, penicillin, prednisone and aspirin, diuretics and laxatives will rob you of your B complex of vitamins and vitamin C.

Also, try to cut back on drinks such as caffeine, tea, sodas and soft drinks as they are all B complex thieves........ as well as being great at dehydrating you.

Take a multi B complex tablet including all the B's ie: B1, B2 B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best synergistically (together). Don't buy any of the B complex of vitamins individually but rather as a whole group unless a nutritionally oriented physician or naturopath instructs you to.

The B complex of vitamins is essential for healthy neural, digestive and immune system functioning.

The B complex of vitamins is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither store or produce them. Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the consequences as you unfortunately are.........

When you take your daily supplement bear in mind that B12 (part of that complex) needs enough calcium and vitamin D in your body to be effectively assimilated.... cold water fishes such as tuna and salmon are rich in both... These cold water fishes are also a rich source of magnesium (known as the antistress mineral) which is probably another thing you may need to focus on as well ~ your stress levels.... stress could also be depleting your B vitamins. Quite a handfull of information here ........ sorry it's a bit long winded but you need to know all this.

Other foods rich in calcium are ~ milk and dairy (if you can tolerate them), tofu, sardines, dried beans, kale, broccoli, collard greens, leafy greens.

Getting enough vitamin D on a daily basis can be as simple as getting 10 - 15 minutes of safe sun exposure daily... vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin.

When our bodies are placed under added stress such as sickness, relationship dramas, new job, school studies or just daily life really, the B complex of vitamins are usually the first group to get used up and we therefore need to adjust our intake accordingly.

When you are getting any stress related symptoms or any of the above mentioned symptoms simply take another B tablet. As they are water soluble our bodies will simply excrete any excess in our urine.

Drink loads of fresh filtered water too as the happiest and healthiest body will always be the most hydrated one.

Symptoms of dehydration are ~ puffy bags and dark circles under your eyes, headaches and migraines, irritability and moodiness, inability to think clearly, digestive troubles such as constipation, bloating and cramping.

We need at least 2 litres of water per day just to maintain aspiration (to breathe)!! so drink up buddy.

As far as the dry skin goes try increasing your intake of foods rich in the essential fatty acids such as cold water fishes, tuna, salmon and whiting....... take the multi B complex to bolster your digestive, immune and neural system and eat plenty of foods rich in vitamin A as vitamin A rich foods will keep the outer layers of your skin and organs healthy.... without enough vitamin A rich foods in your diet no amount of potions or lotions will ever give you that smooth rosy glow you seek hun ?

foods rich in vitamin A are ~ sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrotts, dark green and yellow vegies and milk and dairy (if you can tolerate lactose or aren't vegetarian).

Eat more foods rich in Vitamin E too as foods rich in vitamin E will keep you looking younger by retarding cellular aging due to oxidation and accelerate healing of wounds and scars.

foods rich in vitamin E are~ wheat germ, vegetable oils, brussels sprouts, leafy greens, spinach, enriched flour, whole wheat, whole grain breads and cereals and eggs.

**** edit ****

As far as the dry & cracked lips go you can nourish and soothe them with a lip creme that has vitamin A in it or Vitamin E such as pawpaw creme (vitamin A).

Sore mouth lips and tongue, cracking and splitting skin around your fingernails and grainy and sandy feeling in your eyes are signs of vitamin B2 (riboflavin) deficiency hun .... eat more foods rich in B2 ie~

milk, liver, kidneys, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghurt and beans.

Vitamin B2 is needed in our bodies for healthy nails, skin and hair, will benefit vision and alleviate eye fatigue and works best with B6, B3 and vitamin C............... so, take a multi B complex supplement, particularly if you are lactose intolerant or vegetarian ~ get one including all the B's ....

The whole and natural food will always be the most nutritious and easiest to assimilate ?

****

hope this info helps you a bit hun ?

I sincerely wish you the best of health & vitality buddy?

CHEERS
?

maybe you have eczema?

Hi Don't know much about your 'medical' history obviously, so If you are doing nothing too different, living in a different climate I should get checked out by your Doctor, could be Diabetes related, could be an infection approaching could be a number of innocent things, but for peace of mind see doc.

Could be weather. My skin has been doing the same thing. Believe it or not, I actually use Vaseline on my face a few hours before I go out or go to bed, it helps with the itcy-ness and makes it a hell of a lot better when I wake up to go do something. It sounds weird, but when facial moisturizers and what not aren't doing it for me, thats what I do.

Low blood pressure can cause all those symptoms.Get your pressure checked at the doctors

You've got bad skin, so have I, some people just have bad skin, get over it, its genetic.

ok there are two separate issues here: first lets check if they are linked: your saaying your thirsty, are you drinking atleast 2 litres of water a day? if you are, are you remembering to counter every cup of coffee or tea or redbull (or caffine suppliment...caffine foods...etc) with a glass of water? and the same with salt, are you making sure you dont have more then 4 grams a day? alot of salt is hidden, check and double check the labels, sodium and salt are two different things, make sure your not confusing one for the other, you dont have 4 grams of sodium a day, you have way less.

If this is all fine and your getting enough fluids and thats all fine, this would indicate the two problems are not linked.

With the skin thing, have you tried dermalogica? it really does make a difference, I have very very dry skin and using the whole system makes a big difference to my skin- I dont have white patches on my face now!! What clenser or facial wash are you using? it could be that its too harsh, or spot cream, if its got witch hazel or tea tree oil in it, these are good but do dry out skin if used. Only use on spots, not everywhere- this includes facial washes with these ingredience in them, your skins just too delicate for them.

Do you exfoliate? the exfolation twice a week will release dead skin cells from your skin and if done twice a week, after about a month you should notice a difference, bear with it.

After each and every time of washing and dabbing your face dry, spritz on some purified water- or even better, some toner, then apply moisturing cream, the cream will help to keep the moisture from the toner in the top layer of your skin and help with dryness.

Once a week do a faicla masque.

With regards to the thirst thing, if you are drinking enough, (2 litres a day, which is equivalent to the size of a big big plastic coke bottle) replacing any lost fluids with more water (lost though extensive excercise, caffine or salt), then see your doctor, you could have a hormone imbalance, diabeties or a liver and kidney problem.
