Actually it's the body's natural way of getting foreign matter out of the membranes. As kids we all probably did it, But I think as adults we should refrain from that stuff due to the stuff that goes up there is in fact the stuff you breath during the day etc mixed with mucus. and I feel that someone over age 5 wqho does it has a mental instability.
