Is it true that most teens can eat A LOT without gaining fat? Why is this so?!

Question: I see a lot of teens (16 or 17 years old) eating so much food! (Including junk food), but not gaining weight! Why is this so?

high metabolisms. as you get older your metabolism slows. and it doesnt burn the calories as quickly resulting in weight gain.

Some can but not all. It is because of their high activity level.

yeah i eat loads, im almost 17 and im 5'1" and i weigh just 7 stones (sorry im not sure how many pounds)
i also have a 23" waist which ive heard is meant to be super skinny but its really not lol. anywayss

i eat like a complete pig, a very large meal for tea and 2 sandwiches for my lunch every day lol and then some cake and crisps and chocolate, pies, chips, takeout
basically anything and i still stay the same weight :S
i also drink no water and do no excersize haha

but i need to cut down cause its gunna catch up with me one day & ill be like a balloon :)

Well not me.....I'm 5'6" and 127lbs. and try to eat healthy and excercise alot. I can't just eat whatever I want... i'm 13 btw. ;)

I GAIN A LOT OF WEIGHT WHEN I EAT

I can do that and a couple of reasons is 1.) I exercise a lot and play sports each season and 2.) I probably have a very high metabolism.
I'm 13 if you want to know that
