To wear my glasses or not...?!

Question: I have glasses that are -0.5; most of the time I don't wear them because when I really need to see something at distance for a second or two I can squint and usually see it. My question is two questions... do any other people with the same prescription wear their glasses all the time? And, can people with stronger prescriptions (say above -2.0) also momentarily see clearly by squinting? Obviously I'm talking about people who are near sighted, thus the negative RX.

I am doing optics for 20 years. Based on my experience, Doctors usually give their patients a low power Rx in order to provide psychological treatment. You may not need to wear your glasses; however, since Dr told you to do so you may feel that you see better with your glasses.
My advise is to wear sun glasses with backside A/R coating. It reduces the glare and you may feel that you are using your -.5 glasses.

i wear glasses and im 17 years old.if you have glasses you should wear them for you can see things that is coming your way.

wear them dude . I mean squinting ruins your eyes. If dont like glasses get contacts

If you are driving, especially at night, I would suggest wearing your glasses.

I have Pretty good sight post cataract surgery, but anyone any see a bit clearer if they squint.
At present I have 20/20 & 20/40 sight & don't wear glasses.

However, I'm at the age when I have to use reading glasses to see close up! If it's not one thing, it's another. lol

Im -2.5 and squinting doesnt help anymore, well it helps a little but i still cant see.
