How can i read in the car without getting sick?!

Question: I used to find it really frustrating aswell, but i try this:

? as it is very likely that the reason you get sick is b/c you can feel yourself travelling, try positioning so that you cannot see movement - i found that seeing things whiz past the window at 70 made me feel sick.
? also, i find that eating quite alot on a journey makes me feel fine, its horrible when your feeling a bit ill and your stomach really empty.
? finally, just leave a couple of minutes in between looking out of the window and then reading or reading and then looking out of the window - don't know if this actually helps but personally i feel better this way, gives time for the body to adjust.
Hope this helps and more importantly, works for you, x.

before you travel: try 2 raw eggs, followed by a glass of orange juice, then a glass of tomato juice.

works every time.

I'm not sure you can. I always feel sick if I read in a car even for a few minutes. Just listen to music instead.

i think its impossible, you have to watch where your going so your body can compensate balance when going round corners etc, but try the first answerers concoction, it'll either work or you'll make a big smelly mess!

This happens to me too The way to prevent it is to block out the images that are "passing" you, eg cover up the side windows so your eyes cannot see objects going by, only what is directly in front of you. I find this works a treat. Bet it never happens when you are on a plane! The reason being there are no objects (other moving vehicles) passing by within your vision. Try it.
