How do I quit smoking???!

Question: Ok I am the ultimate smoker. For the last 7 years I have been smoking my life away. The problem is, that I actually LIKE to smoke. I enjoy it and I can't picture myself being a non-smoker. I am very athletic and I can run all day long without being short of breath...so far, smoking has never really affected me. Most of my friends smoke as well, so when we go out, I can't see myself staying inside while they all go outside to smoke. As a matter of fact, I'm even smoking right now, lol. Everytime I've tried to quit, I've felt like I lost my best friend...sounds stupid but it's true. I DON'T want to quit. But I know I have to. I know one day it will kill me. And I constantly feel guilty that my husband (who is a non-smoker) has put up with it for so long now. Its not fair to him and I know that its unattractive, but unless you're a smoker you have no idea how hard it is...not to mention the fact that I turn into the ultimate YOU-KNOW-WHAT everytime I try to quit...which isn't

I've been a smoker for almost 15 years and I know how you feel. I don't want to quit either but I don't really smoke a lot. It's going to be very hard to quit since you don't want to. You have to have that mind set in order to succeed or it will be even harder. I've tried all the tricks, the gums, the patches (which aren't safe by the way), and those inhaler things, the fake cigs you can actually puff, and many other things. The only thing that worked for me was cold turkey. I threw them away and when I wanted to smoke I'd do something else. I tried fire balls and that worked for a while, then I tried chewing regular gum or some kind of candy. If ya don't like candy just find something else to keep your mouth busy. They say most people have trouble quitting because you have hand and mouth fixations and are so used to doing that it also makes it harder. Which is why I chose fireballs. You should also reward yourself for every week you go without one...or day, since you smoke a lot more than me..lol
I rewarded myself with things I couldn't buy before because I spend too much on cigs. Just do things differently than you did before, if you stay on a routine then you'll go right back to smoking. If you're used to having one with your morning coffee, try drinking something else. Or try getting your coffee AFTER you get to work or school, since you can't smoke there. Email me if you wanna...maybe I can give more tips.

You can't make a lifestyle change if you don't actually want to. You might know that you need to, but until you get the desire, you can't quit. You've got to want to.

patches never slowed me down, nothing worked like smoking ,than i tried chantric think that how its spelled after three days put the butts down and have not picked them up eight months smoked for twenty yrs got the pills from doctor
