What are some efficient, yet simple things to do to relieve stress?!

Question: aromatherapy really helps. try burning a scented candle (either chamomile or Lavendar) or burning some essential oil in a burner (I would suggest you put in 2/3 drops of oil in to maybe 50ml water, makes the oil last longer). avoid caffeine, drink herbal teas, they're not all bad - i would again reccomend chamomile for stress. mix with a little honey if you like it sweet. listen to soothing music - i would put on miles davis or play the memoirs of a geisha soundtrack..
I hope you feel better.

The best way to relieve stress is to prevent it before it develops. There are a few daily routines that you may implement to prevent stressful situations. You do not have any control over the circumstances causing the stress, but you do have control over the methods for relieving them. To relieve stress you can do the following:

1) Get a good night sleep. It is recommended that you get at least 8 hours of sleep.
2) Pace yourself. Do not try to do too much at one time.
3) Think realistically. Do not allow your emotions to get out of control.
4) Plan better. Set schedules and prioritize your tasks.
5) Take breaks. Get away from it for about 10-15 minutes.
6) Take walks. Walking is one of the best forms of exercise.
7) Call on your support. Ask others to do the work that you are weak in doing.
8) Confront problems by talking. Bring the problem out in the open.
9) Delegate. Do not try to do everything yourself, but rather, seek help from others.
10) Keep a positive attitude. Do not take life so seriously, laugh sometime.

Lay on the ground and tense up your body one section at a time. For example: tense your feet for 10 sec, then your legs, and just keep moving up. After you have relaxed a section don't move it, just let it go limp.

Another way is to have someone give you a little massage.

Take a Walk. Talk to a friend or the closest thing to it, okay just talk to someone. Dance. Laugh. Hold a pet if there are no humans wanting to be held. Cry. Meditation. Sports. Ice Cream?

I agree...masturbation and sex are known for lowering stress levels. Deep breathing, concentrating on your heart beat or the breathing itself can do it too. Take a deep breath while you count to 5 or so, then let it out, counting to the same number. Just concentrating on something else should do the trick. Watch a funny movie, talk with someone, find a hobby to keep your mind busy..puzzles, crosswords, something that changes your thoughts and gets your mind off the stress. A nice warm bath with soft music and candles is a good way. When I'm stressed, I lay in bed, in the dark or with a few candles and listen to soft music while I do some deep breathing.
