Will this make me have more problems?!

Question: Hi,
I am curious to know if me having spine surgery at 14 will led me down a road to having more spine problems. I had a surgery a few months ago for grade 4 spondylolisthesis, with a lot of nerve damage. I always hear that once you have back surgery, it will bring you problems.
Is this true?

Love your name by the way. I almost named my daughter Shannon. I am sorry that you had nerve damage with your surgery. I don't know what grade 4 spondylolisthesis is. I always hear that back surgery should always be a last resort because a lot of times it does more harm than good. I have a bad back but I don't ever want surgery on it.
