Blisters from flip-flops?!

Question: Ok, first of all this is my sister's account I'm on. She wanted me to say that.

I was walking around yesterday for a few hours in flip-flops, and after I took them off I noticed these really gross bubbles of clear stuff on the inside of each of my big toes.. they kept getting bigger for awhile, then stopped. How do I get rid of them?? My dad told me to pop them but I DON'T want to do that!! Also, this has never happened before.. so what caused it? Please help, thanks.

Sounds like they are blisters. They happen, especially if something is constantly rubbing on that particular area. It's best not to pop them (if you can manage that). They will pop by themselves and heal. The fluid is there for a reason and it would do more harm to pop them when your body isn't ready to release that fluid. The fluid helps keep the area clean. If it does pop just make sure to keep it clean until it heals up entirely.

If it doesn't go away for a long time and you are getting worried you could always go to the doctor for a second opinion, but wait for a bit first.

Take care!

That is normal to happen. You need to get adjusted to wearing flip flops again. You probably haven't worn flip flops all winter. Your toes have to get adjusted to having something between them. Don't pop them. Just lay off the flip flops until they heal, then wear them again. You'll be alright hun. this happens.
