Are there stomach viruses going arouned...explain??!

Question: I live in the seattle area and my wife and I have both been having burning,hurting feelings in the pit of our stomaches that are just now slowly going away.. This has been going on for close to a week..No nausea, just the deep pain and cramps.. I figured that it was probably a stomache virus..not sure...we're feeling better now..

yeah i think i have one actually. its almost like the flu.
