Yes.

I was off work for 3 weeks. Back on my feet, albeit very slow, at about 1 week. You can walk around the day after your surgery, you'll just be very, very slow. It's just a small 1 inch incision they make with the tech they have these days.

It made a huge difference in my life and I'm glad I did it.

I had surgery for a right herniated L4/L5 in 2004. I missed about 6 weeks of work. I couldn't lift anything heavier than 2lbs for 2 weeks on doctor's orders.

Once I had the surgery, I could throw out my morphine as I never hurt again (except normal post-surgery pain).

But I have heard that surgery does not always help pain. I was very pleased with my results.
