Amiltriptyline and Trazadone are both older anti-depressant medications!.
Amiltriptyline is a tricylic anti-depressant and Trazadone is a tetracyclic AD!.
Very few psychiatrists prescribe Trazadone anymore except as a sleeping pill!.
Trazadone is NOT a narcotic and is not addictive and will not produce tolerance or withdrawal!.
Wellbutrin is another anti depressant that is used for to treat some addictions with some success!. It also is non-narcotic!.
