Why don't some Americans view health care as a human right?!

Question: Why don't some Americans view health care as a human right!?
I am an an American citizen and I have seen numerous documentaries and read numerous articles on health care in other industrialized nations around the world!. The piece on Frontline this week was especially good!. When the reporter asked world leaders how many people went broke in their nation because of health care bills, they all laughed or looked surprised and said, "Absolutely none!." One prime minister even said if that happened to one person, it would be a national scandal in that country!. ALL industrialized nations provided health care for their citizens even if those citizens were unemployed!. Even the most conservative politicians in those countries viewed health care as a human right!. It wasn't even a partisan issue in those countries!. In the U!.S!., we now view education and legal representation as human rights, so why don't some Americans view health care as a human right!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

People high up have insurance and do not see why it is a problem!. People without insurance are usually pretty low on the totem poll and can not really do much to influence a national health care system!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because I don't want more tax dollars stolen from me to pay for some hypochondriac that goes to the doctor everytime they get the sniffles!.

Also the whole medical system is set up to make the doctors and the hospitals and the pharmaceutical companies money, without regard to natural cures that work better for pennies on the dollar!.

No socialist health care for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

We have health care in the US!. It is not a human right!. It is not even a right under our constitution!. In the US most people believe in paying for services!.

Health care in other countries is paid for with taxes!. Education is not a human right!. Legal representation is not a human right!. You are making up things to try to justify an unreasonable position!.

I do not want to see universal health insurance in the US!. It would be way too costly!. Other countries (Canada and Great Britain) have failing health care systems!. People in Canada have sued to opt out, and the courts have not allowed it!.

People in Britain who need immediate care are paying for it with their own finances!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have NEVER viewed healthcare as a "human right" and I still don't!. I can't afford to go to the doctor and have a few things looked at but I don't blame my country for that!.

Other nations have their way of handling health care, and we have ours!. Here, people are expected to get jobs with health benefits and pay for their insurance!. You shouldn't expect the government to "take care" of you in this respect, get up, get a job and get your own benefits!. If the benefits suck at your current job, get another one!

I've had times of having great health care and times of having crappy healthcare, but that's just the way it goes!. And these other nations you're talking about!? Have you noticed how many people are on here talking about having to wait (sometimes months) to be seen for severe health problems in these other nations that "provide" care for their people!?
It's backed up like you wouldn't believe!.

Another cool thing about our country is that if you don't like the way it's done, get up and go where you like how they do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
