Probably!. It depends on what type of plastic it is!. If you have a home-made bong you cobbled together out of PVC from Home Depot, then you will be inhaling very toxic fumes if you use it!. And if the plastic is burning, it's obviously not fit for smoking from!.
Corncob pipes are cheap at tobacco shops if you're on a budget!. Metal and glass pipes can be found in many price ranges!. If you go metal, be aware that it may become uncomfortably hot unless you have an acrylic, glass, wood, or other insulating material in between the bowl & mouthpiece!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

YES!! You shldnt use pipes made of plastic or metal!. Both of those produce their own gases when u burn them!. Only use glass ones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
youll be fine if you did it once but i would definatly not recommend doing it on a regular basis!. stick with glass or metal or paper or something!
