Hello br78,

I am a Certified Nutritional Consultant with many years in the supplements industry!. I have also extensively studied herbalism from several cultures including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Native American, and European!.

Valerian might work but it would not be my first choice!. It can be a little more of a sedative that you would want before doing a presentation!.

I would instead consider skullcap or kava kava root!. Both of these work to reduce to reduce anxiety without as strong a sedative effect!. With the kava kava, go very light or it can also be a sedative!.

Herbs work best in formula!. That means that while one herb will have a good effect, a well put together formula of herbs will accomplish a desired task more efficiently!.

I would suggest trying Serenity by the company Gaia Herbs!. It is available in either a capsule form or a liquid form and will provide a relief from anxiety without any sedation!.

Another good product to try would be Resue Remedy by Bach Flower Essences!. It can help to reduce anxiety very quickly and is available in almost any health food store!. This option is excellent if you are taking any doctor-prescribed drugs!.

Good luck with your speech!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

take a shot of alcohol and you will be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

Don't know!.!.however, I had really bad cramps (like really really bad) once while giving a speech!. Pain was a good distraction!Www@Answer-Health@Com

valerian can increase melotonin (spelling!?) production which makes you sleepy!. If you take a small enough amount it might only relax you instead of making you sleepy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
