Question: Why cant one heart or organ fit everyone(please answer this is really important)!?
i know its a stupid but why is it the O+ blood fits everyone but when it comes to organ transplants like hearts/kidneys you have to find a certain heart what is so special about the organs!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because they have to be checked for compatibility!. Anything from the outside world entering our body is considered foreign(antigenic) and body has a particular mechanism to handle it!. Even food is considered foreign particles and body develops antibodies to fight and throw out such materials that may possibly harm our bodies!. So if organs are transplanted without such checks person may develop serious anaphylaxis reactions like blood clotting, itching, swelling etc and may lead to death!. Its called Transplant Rejection!. It occurs when the immune system of the recipient of a transplant attacks the transplanted organ or tissue!. This is because a normal healthy human immune system can distinguish foreign tissues and attempt to destroy them, just as it attempts to destroy infective organisms such as bacteria and viruses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It's just like with the blood, certain types just do not work together!. With an organ, such as a heart there needs to be other compatibility measures (size, tissue type, etc) to ensure that the body will not reject the organ (in this case a heart)!.
