Does anyone know why half of a persons' face would be paralyzed???!

Bells Palsy, absoultely!. My daughter had that when she was age 4, we notice a sudden drop in the one side of her face, one side would be smiling, the other would be droopy!. My father also had this when he was in his 40's and he was scared to death with it because it lingered for nearly a month, he had to eat soup from a straw etc!.!.!. he feared never regaining the feeling back in his face!.
The cause from what the doctor told us can be as simple as wind entering the ear canal and effecting the nerves, our doctor stated our daughter could have gotten it just from something simple like having the car window open while driving, and the air getting into her ear canal!. Hers lasted about a month!. 3 weeks were most noticable!.
There is no cure for it, though the doctor can give medication it really has to just run it's course!. It does increase anxiety so an anti-depressant wouldn't hurt if needed!.
