My Lip Piercing Is Turning Purple. Is This Bad?!

Question: My Lip Piercing Is Turning Purple!. Is This Bad!?
Yesterday I got snake bites, the piercing process went smoothly and didn't hurt all that bad!. Though after the second piercing on the right side was done it started to swell alot!. I figured it was normal, but now the inside gum around the piercing is turning purple and seems to be spreading!. Did the piercer hit a blood vessel or something!? Is this bad!? What should I do!? I figured I would wait afew days to see if it would die down, but i wanted to know if i should look out for anything!. The swelling has gone down over night!.

Thanks for your responses!

Answers:
Swelling is normal!. Make sure you keep your piercings REALLY REALLY clean!. As in, clean it multiple times a day!. If it is still bad in a few days or starts to hurt beyond normal tenderness call your piercer!. They will be happy to help you :)
