Question: I've started taking citalopram and that stuff is awful!!!?
It makes me really drowzy and light headed and I had to ask my boss to let me go home today coz it wasnt working out!. I also went from sleeping 4 hours to sleeping 14! Will these side effects go away!? I've only had 2 tablets so far!!! :SWww@Answer-Health@Com

With any new medication it takes about a month to get into your system and start working properly, and it's during this time that side effects occur!. Once it's all in there, and doing it's job you should find that the side effects wear off!. The big question is whether you can put up with them for this long!?
If they becom totally unbearable, or very severe you should get back to your GP as soon as you can!. There are always other alternatives out there!.

eventually the side affects will wear away but if any thing bacfires you should contact your doctor immediatelyWww@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the dosage, you might be on a to higher dose!. I am on the same meds but I take 20mg now from 10mg and I haven't noticed any side effects except if I take it late in the day I cant sleep, and if I forget to take it after a couple of days I get dizzy and disorientated!. Go back to tour GP or consultant if it still carries on after a couple of weeks, you have to give these kinds of pills to settle own and get into your system!. Remeber, every one is diffrent, what works fine for one may not for another!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
