Hole in my Helix/Ear!?!
Question: Hole in my Helix/Ear!!?
I have no idea if thats the right term!.!.!. but I have two random holes in my ears!. I've never pierced it and the hole is a little less than a half inch deep!. I'm 17 and the holes are in both my ears, the left hole is the one that is deep!. The right hole is much less deep and is set forward just a little bit more!.

What you have are preauricular pits!. They are actually pretty common!. I assume that these pits were always there (since birth) because they are a actually result of your development in the womb (starting from the sixth week of gestation)!.
If you have swelling or pain around the area, you may want to have it checked out!. Some suggest that these pits can actually be a sign of other ear problems!.
