like burn the label! or just peel it off with warm water

If they are empty toss them, if you are worried about privacy, obscure your name, prescription number and drug name with a sharpie and toss them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Peal the labels off and then dump them according to their material!. Recycle the glass bottles and dump the plastic!.
The best thing to do is to wash them out first!. Just a rinse will do!. You can also get the label of by soaking it!. It peals off easier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In my state (NJ) you can recycle these whether they are plastic/glass!. Cross your name off with a large marker!.
If your area does not recycle the plastic, then you can just throw them in the trash!. The pharmacy has plenty of bottles to fill prescriptions!.
My dad uses the large botteles to store things like: quarters, thumbtacks, paperclips and the Huge bottels--he stores batteries!.
