How I learn how to stop being a night owl and become a morning bird?!


Question: How I learn how to stop being a night owl and become a morning bird!?
For the past year, I have always been the one able to stay up until three or four with no problem and practically have to force myself to sleep!. I get distracted by the computer and the television, reading, are sometimes just minutes of pondering while lying in bed!. Anyways I think its catching up to me now!.!.!.im pretty tired during the day and a little cranky and now at night Im all chipper, my schedule is going to chance soon and will require me to wake up at least by 6:00 (usually wake up at 11:00)!.!.help! any advice!Www@Answer-Health@Com

By nature some of us are more inclined to be night owls than morning glorys!. However, there are times when a natural night owl has to conform to a daytime life!. You will have better luck if you start resetting things gradually than if you suddenly try to swap around hours!. For starters, you need to find some physical activity in the evening that will tire you out physically!. Then in the hour or two prior to the intended bedtime, you need to cut out stimulating activities!. Turn off the television and computer, and pick up a nice book!. Have a warm bath, and soak in there a while!. Put yourself in the bed, with a low light- just enough for reading purposes!. No music in the background!. That should allow you to slow down the brain enough to naturally go to sleep!. You should set an alarm that will wake you a little earlier each day, and have a set bedtime at night, and stick to that!. As you get up earlier, go to bed the night before slightly earlier!. Usually you can manage half an hour without much hassle!. Speaking as a natural night owl, I can tell you that 6am is never likely to look that great!. You will never completely appreciate what the morning glorys see in a sunrise, and will be willing to forgo getting the worm most mornings!. I functioned many years on coffee, and a warning to those around me that I would not be fully human until sometime later in the morning!. I can get up early, but I will never like it!. Sad thing is, I am the sole night owl in the family!. How I gave birth to morning glorys remains a great mystery to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am exaclty the same, i found that for some reason i have been waking up at 6:30am 1!.5 hours before my alarm goes off, mainly becasue i am so used to my alarm i have been sleeping through it and it is very loud!. and i fall asleep at like 2am every night,!.

I have considered, taking sleeping pills, but havent bothered to go to the chemist!.


Tape tv shows instead of watching them late at night, then u can watch then when u awake!.

There is no set exercise to change your sleeping hours!. The best you can do is that you can try to sleep late and get up really early!. Do that for 3 - 4 days and then you'll see its effects - you will feel sleepy a lot earlier than your usual time and it may force you to go to bed early!. Then set up an alarm for early morning, get up and go for a walk!. It should help!. If you do that for a couple of weeks you will be able to change your habit!. Do take into account that you should eat well, because lack of sleep and an empty stomach can add to complications!.
