Answers:
Sit in a comfortable, reclining chair in a relaxed angle!. Get a good book to read or surf the net, then press your tongue to the roof of your mouth and push it forward until you can feel the tip of your tongue slightly pressing on the back of your upper front teeth!. Do this several times each day for two weeks, after which it will become a habit!.
Sometimes when I do it, I forget that I'm doing it for 1-2 hours!.
You will not bite your tongue; your IQ will increase; you will become a more thoughtful person; the sores will go away; and you will be a happier more integrated person!.
Now, the new question is why were you punishing yourself!? Do you have a stressful job!? Learn to sit back, take a breather with a couple of deep breaths, put your tongue against your upper teeth and then get back to the task at hand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

thats digusting!. Maybe since its a habit start chewing a lot of gum and keep on "telling" yourself that its not gum[it your tongue or cheeks] and you'll get used to it and stop the habit :)!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like a nervous gesture!. Maybe you ought to talk to a Pschologist to find out what the root cause of this is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately, I do the same thing!. It seems will power is the only answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

this is so gross
but anyways try licking a lolipop or chew gum instead
and if ur tachers say to spit it out have a note from the doctor to show tem that its for medical reasonsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would go to your dentist!.
He might be able to give you a mouth guard to give you to wear in your free time when no one is around so you won't create more sores!.
Try chewing gum!.
But your really going to have to focus on NOt biting it!. That's the most effective way!. Otherwise it won't get better!. And it'll get all infected because mouths carry lots of germs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like it could be a form of OCD - you should go to a psychiatrist for help, b/c if you can't stop doing something that is bad for you that you really want to stop, then that is a mental health issue!Www@Answer-Health@Com

chew gum, LOTS of gum!. Drink Slurpee's!. Eat Lemonheads, or tootsie rolls, or sunflower seeds, or hell chew on plastic like pencaps!.

I chew my lips alot, and it's only when im eating or drinking or very busy do I not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Swish some Orajel!.!.!. Jk!.

Ummm!.!.!. will power baby!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try another doctor!?
or maybe it's more mental!. Maybe you should see a psychiatristWww@Answer-Health@Com

Are you conscious when you do this!? Do you feel yourself doing it!? If so, put the brakes on that!. Pick up another nervous habit instead or try some other diversion!. If it's a certain behavior or stimulus that's prompting this, try avoiding that for now!.

If you don't realize you're doing this, it could be some kind of neurological issue!. I've encountered people with epilepsy who have unintentional or involuntary biting motions and they would bite up the inside of their mouth and/or tongues!. Might wanna try a different doc!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to see a therapist -- there is something in your life you aren't dealing with and it is materializing this wayWww@Answer-Health@Com

you're just to funny unless your serious, then you should see a shrink!.Or find something else to chew on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It almost sounds like an obsessive compulsion!. I think first of all you should change doctors!. Your first doctor is without compassion or interest in your case!. Then I would seek a family doctor or psychiatrist!. If it is a compulsive behavior there are medications and procedures that can halt or ease the symptoms!. If you choose a medical doctor explain that the first doctor sent you away and you need help!.
I don't know if you are doing it with thought or if it is accidental!. One could be compulsive, the other may have to do with muscle tone or unconcious thoughts!. You may try gum to keep your mouth busy, but if you are doing it while asleep then that is another issue!. If you grind your teeth at night I would mention that to your doctor just in case it matters!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

therapy maybe!? (not trying to be smart aleck, im serious)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to find a substitute for this behavior and/or figure out what is causing it to begin with!. Try going to a counselor for some behavior therapy!. In the meantime, chew gum, use mouth guards to remind you to stop chewing, or be more active in other ways, like a hobby or exercise!.

You've developed a neurosis that needs professional, psychological therapy to correct!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop doing it!. You choose to do this - you know its gross!. Just stop already!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

See a dentist!. They are specialists in diseases of the mouth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hmmmm!.!.
know i know this might be a CRAZY idea,
but maybee you could just, i dont knoww!.!.!.
STOP!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would definitely go to a psychologist!. Tell them what is going on!. Do not substitute gum or candy since these will only succeed in irritating your tongue/mouth even more!.

It's definitely got something to do with nerves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

See a therapist, this is some form of obsessive behavior or nervous tic!. If you get an infection from those sores it could go straight into your system!. This is serious, go see a mental health professional who understands OCD!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
