What exactly is a cyst?!
Question: What exactly is a cyst!?
According to the doctor, I have a cyst!. I know it's something to do with pockets of liquid or something, but I'm a little fuzzy on what it really is!. So, what is it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

A cyst is a closed sac having a distinct membrane and division on the nearby tissue!. They may contain air, fluids, or semi-solid material!. A collection of pus is called an abscess, not a cyst!. Once formed, the cyst will remain in the tissue permanently unless removed by surgery or by taking medication that will dissolve it!.

A cyst is a sac of air or fluid!.
They are called different things depending on their location, I have something called a ganglion cyst (lovely name lol) which is in my wrist!.
Once a cyst is formed it will remain in your body permanently unless removed by surgery!. They can and do swell up if irritated, and after about a week or so it will shrink and go back down again!.!.!.
I've had mine for a few years now, and it swells up and pops out maybe once a year!.!.!. can be a bit painful and I lose a lot of mobility in my hand, but when it goes back down again I can't even notice its there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
