Are there any possible aftereffects after recovering from a bout of food poisoni!

Question: Are there any possible aftereffects after recovering from a bout of food poisoning!?
I got food poisoning from some seafood, and was in pretty bad shape initially!. I ordered some Ciprofloxacin and Vancomycin from a foreign online pharmacy, and just tried to ride out the three days the package took to arrive!. It was rough, but I drank plenty of electrolytes!.

When the package arrived, I started an immediate course of Cipro!. I started feeling better after about 12 hours, and within 24 hours, I was more or less fully recovered, aside from some residual exhaustion from the previous week, and the loss of about 10 pounds!. I finished the Cipro course over the next several days!.

I never used the Vancomycin!.

Am I pretty much okay at this point, or could there be lingering aftereffects!? This was eight months ago, and I have not gotten sick from any cause since then!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Please don't just order antibiotics like that because you do not know what you are doing and you are only breeding resistant organisms!. Bacteria pass resistance genes to each other, even if they are of different species!.

The good news is that your antibiotics might have been fake and that your food poisoning probably resolved on its own, judging by your story and the time frame!.

In some cases of food poisoning, Cipro could make things worse depending on the organism!. Vanco is usually infused and an oral dose is for a specific pathogen (C!. difficile) that does not cause "food poisoning"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you haven't been sick or had any symptoms, I suppose you are okay!.

If you are concerned you should go to MD, tell them what happened & they might take sample or blood test to see if you have any E!. Coli, salmonella, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
