Question: Blood in poo, help!!!?
yesterday i didnt go to the toilet and i think i was condtipated, today i had a big hard poo and after about a tablespoon of blood came out then i had a shower to clean the area and felt a stinging pain like a paper cut in my anus and it was very painful, what do you htink this is, serious answers please!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with the first answer!. It appears to be from straining to have a bowel movement!. It would feel like a papercut when anything liquid touches it because it's an open wound in a very sensitive area! Give it time to heal and be careful to to strain too hard!. Try Metamucil or Benefiber as a supplement to aid in having a bowel movement!. If the blood is bright red and only occurs in a small amount, you're most likely straining!. Blood coming from the colon/rectum is going to be a different color and have a different smell from normal blood, and if that happens, go to the doctor because that could be something more serious!. Well, I think that because you were constipated, your poo got hard and compacted and so when it came out, it tore your anal area and caused the bleeding!. If you are constipated you may need to see a doctor about getting some laxatives!. The stinging was probably due to the shower gel/water irritating your anus area which was already cut/sore from the hard poo!.

Most likely this represents irritating a hemorrhoid as you defecate!. Hemorrhoids can come and go, and can bleed during defecation!.
If this continues, becomes a frequent occurrence or if the blood loss increases, it would be worth a visit to a doctor!.
Constipation or excessive dehydration may have been able to exacerbate the situation (by lowering the water content of the stool and making it harder), but it is unlikely to be the cause!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes this is very seriour u need to go to the doctor and tell him/her (who ever ur doctor it) what the problem is!. It can be either Melena, or Hematochezia!.it's rectal bleeding!. i seen it on a show called House where a little boy had blood in the stool!. go to the doctor fast!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
you might of torn yourself straining sounds vile i know but it happens if it was bright red blood and not running out then its probably nothing to worry about if it happens alot and there is lots of blood or it gets dark consult your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
