What would make someone faint all the time?!

Question: What would make someone faint all the time!?
My friend keeps fainting almost everyday!. Shes only 15 & nearly evryday at school she just!.!.!.faints!. She said its because she has panic attacks and she has tablets, im no doctor but im pretty sure its not panic attacks-she doesn't hypoventilate or anything she just suddenly passes out!. At school today I was sitting on the desk behind her and she just suddenly passed out, fell off her chair onto the floor she hit a head a bit but it wasn't bad!. Then our teacher runs up and says 'oh no she's fainted again' and we all had to pass our coats to keep her warm and hold her on her side!. She was unconcious for about 5-7 mins, didn't move or anything, just layed on the floor, it was pretty scary!. And then one of the schools medical staff came in and told us not to worry it happens 'day to day'!. She did finally come round and then she went home!. But it's not the first time ive seen her faint - seen it 4 times in school infact!. Does anyone know what could be wrong!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are causes of syncope (fainting) and it's difficult to tell you exactly what is causing hers but here are a few possibilities that are the most likely at her age!.
1!. orthostatic hypotension: caused by dehydration!. there isn't enough fluid in the blood vessels and, when the person stand from a sitting/lying down position, blood leaves the head & the person becomes dizzy or faints!.
2!. cardiomyopathy: disease of the muscle of the heart that can cause syncope when the heart fails to pump enough blood to the head!.
3!. narcolepsy: a neurologic disorder that causes a person to suddenly and involuntarily fall into a deep sleep no matter what they are doing at the time!. this can be triggered by a number of things(stress, joy, humor, excitement, arousal, etc!.)
4!. seizure disorders: she might not be passing out, she may be having some form of a seizure!.
5!. malnutrition: does she have an eating disorder!?
6!. vasomotor syncope: due to overactivity of the vagus nerve which is an important mediator of the parasympathetic nervous system!. this can usually be brought on by stressful, painful, or claustrophobic experiences!.

Either way this is a serious issue as she is at risk of seriously harming herself and/or others around her when she faints!. She absolutely needs to be evaluated by a physician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People faint if they don't have the right proteins and nutrients your body needs!. For instance, a friend of mine always fainted and it was because she was a Vegan-not saying all Vegans faint!. She also had some kind of eating disorder which didn't help the fact she was a Vegan becasue most days she went all day without eating anything except raw veggies and V8 juice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should trust the medical explanation, unless you know something she is doing that she is not telling, then let a teacher know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If she is badly underweight and anorexic that could well be the cause!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
