Does anyone else go through SAD (seasonal affective disorder)? How do you overco!

Question: Does anyone else go through SAD (seasonal affective disorder)!? How do you overcome it!?
Answers:
I live in WA, so I've had my share of SAD!. We put full spectrum light bulbs in our living room (where I spend most of my time), and it really helps A LOT!.

"Full spectrum light bulbs, since they mimic the qualities of natural sunlight, are very appropriate for individuals who suffer from Seasonal Affective Syndrome (SAD)!. Natural daylight has always had desirable qualities, and is often recommended for improving mood and motivation!. Most people will agree, working in an office with no windows can be depressing!. The cold winter months and overcast seasons can also be gloomy, but full spectrum light bulbs can make the indoors look like the height of summer!."

Yes, I get it every fall!. They have lights especially made for this, but they are pretty expensive so I haven't tried them!. I usually have to go on antidepressants in the winter, and so far it has helped me, but I have heard that it is bad to go on and off of antidepressants because they can lose their effectiveness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I was never actually diagnosed with it, but certain that I had it!. Sometimes I would dread the grey winter months!. Because I am usually outdoors doing something in the yard or the garage durying summertime, I felt like there was nothing I could do when it was cold out!. I guess I never really overcame it!. I just stay busy and do stuff inside!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are light bulbs that simulate sunlight that can help people with SAD!. It would probably be good to have the lights on during the hours you aren't sleeping to make up for living in places that don't have regular amounts of sunlight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
